totally unshaven and dirty but with a $900 coat on

Friday during the day, I attempt to just photograph normal people in New York City – not cool looking, not supermodel, not gay, not super handsome, not mean people. I just try to capture the normal people which I did but of course I see a bum walking down the street with a Giorgio Armani full length coat which means that he stole it the night before. You see this from time to time cause I’m around Penn Station where the bums hang out. Somehow they get a coat from somewhere. They got raggedy old sneakers and filthy old pants and they’re totally unshaven and dirty but they have like a $900 coat on. I like these shots. Anyway, you’ll see them around.

Okay, whole day of photography, focusing on the normal person – the totally straight and normal person. I think they have the same personality the way they dress. I don’t know. I’m studying faces again and trying to figure out things. A lot of photography on Friday. Friday night was the big night. I can’t discuss the restaurant but it was one of those mob tiny restaurants in Brooklyn.

A lady friend of mine knows the people are having a party so I was introduced as Portraits of New York. I’m going to take a lot of pictures. A couple of them were focusing on me why I’m taking pictures. Okay, let me take pictures. It was like [01:54 inaudible] the word. Though I got away with what I wanted to do. But I also wanted to stay up 24 hours so I was there about 2 in the morning, hang out my lady friend to about 5. Then I took a subway back into the city. I got to the city about 5:30.

What an interesting nightlife from Friday night – all the people partying and drinking, running around Saturday morning. Scuff high heeled shoes, walking crooked, ripped stockings, guys with their shirt tails out, people waiting for their next train into Penn Station.

I guess that’s it for now. I’ll talk about yesterday’s photography which was Saturday right up to Saturday morning. A lot of stuff to talk about. Building up so many images, I think I have maybe 12,000 images and like I always say, maybe I’m going to use 15% of them.
