42nd Street

As I explained, I’m in the new hot spot. I’ve been here for about three weeks. All the illegal activities, all the traffic is great, photographer’s paradise.

But what I noticed now is as far as the massage parlor, there’s a lookout Chinese older man and as far as the purses go, there’s an African older man. These are lookouts for, I guess, cops or something coming. These guys are extra nervous about me. So I just shot all day, it’s just the normal. But last night was great.

Last night, one of my girls that’s a friend – I have to call her girlfriend – she had one of her friends visit from Indonesia, never been to America. She flew in on Kennedy Airport and her friend brought her directly to 42nd Street and Broadway.

Every once in a while, I always go to 42nd Street and photograph. It’s like no stress. Everyone’s taking pictures, there are a million people with cameras. I could do anything I want without anyone getting angry or mad or paranoid. So that’s a real dream shoot for me.

But one of my friends invited us to a party, it was on a hotel rooftop. It was the No Hotel hotel, the hotel No…, I know it was on 54th Street. Great balcony overlooking Manhattan, took a lot of pictures and went back on 42nd Street – 42nd Street is great, you could be there 4 o’clock in the morning and it’s busy. It’s always busy, it can be 5 in the morning. I stayed out very late last night because my ex took the kids so I didn’t have to go back home last night.

Signing off.
