Senior Citizens, a whole encyclopedia behind the wrinkled skin

The weather’s just getting nicer. I think it’s 70 degrees, walking through this beautiful little town of Cranford.

Something I want to talk about, back in the mid 70’s I was an exterminator for all the ghetto projects, senior citizen projects from Elizabeth.

The ghetto project – that’s another whole story in itself. But the senior citizen projects – these were people that were 100 years old, 90, 105. These were DORs. The women were DORs of revolution. Very interesting faces behind all the wrinkles and the grey hair, it seems a person had a whole life.

Anyway, in the streets of Manhattan, you’ll notice on the website, there is a lot of really old classy people. I don’t photograph all of them decrepid. I photograph old and classy with the incredible outfits. I love looking at their faces because I see a whole history behind them like I consider myself a face reader and reading those faces is like a whole encyclopedia.

Anyway, keep your eyes open for these very interesting senior citizens, older men older women. They’ve been on the site for years.

Today is one of my first big paid gig on New York Press. I’m excited.

Signing off.
