Networking party, you get to see the raindrops

Last night which was Thursday night, I had to do one of those networking parties. I didn’t have to, I just got invited. Sometimes I go to one of these events and they’re so boring. The people were boring, it looked boring and there’s a lot of people there – singles, all singles. These networking parties are also like singles parties.

There are a lot of people there standing around by themselves holding a drink just by themselves. None of my friends came. Tony Roma, Johnny Skyscraper – they wouldn’t want to go to this type of things. But I try to make the best of it and talk to a couple of people, it’s so boring.

I took a lot of boring photographs which gave me an idea for today. I want to photograph people in New York City that are just totally normal – not ugly, not good looking, not great outfits, just your typical normal person. It should be interesting.

Yesterday it rained all day so I used two types of Olympus underwater cameras. They only have two of them out now. I don’t know the model numbers but as far as durability and totally waterproof, they’re great. They’re not sharp like the Leica I use, the Lumix but it’ll get the job done. A lot of cool umbrella pictures. I just got right out there in the rain.  When I use the flash, you get to see the raindrops and it’s kind of cool stuff.

Anyway, it’s Friday. I have a couple of things to do tonight. I need something fun tonight. I think last night was boring because I wasn’t drinking. This is my 5th week – you know, in the wagon, zero alcohol, zero carbs. I hope I have something inside of me to talk about tonight.

Signing off.
