Still beautiful weather…

Big news flash. I’ve been working on this project SalsImages.com for six years. I have a nice contract in California with Bad Company Films. One of the owners is Gerald Casale or Devo. I’ve been struggling with it but this month, the issue of Out Magazine, it’s a gay magazine, there’s a great story about my uncle Sal being in the mob and being gay and entertainer how life was in that situation. It’s really going to push this project ahead.

And on another note, Portraits of New York is entering some type of negotiation with New York Press. One of the publishers there likes the whole idea. They own about three or four other magazines. Next week we’ll have some type of sit down. I’m very excited.

Back to my photography. I’m getting so many new friends on 7th Avenue but as many friends I’m getting as many enemies. I’m pissing a lot off people off. If they give me a chance to explain what I’m doing then it’s fine, just walk by and give me the finger and turn their face – men and women – they think I’m some kind of crazy person. But once everyone stops and talks to me, I totally convince them that it’s a cool thing and they go to win and it’s great.

Anyway, that’s the pluses and minuses of being a paparazzi of the common man. Halloween party tonight, Saturday night and Sunday night. I might have to stay at home Saturday night if my stepdaughter or ex-wife won’t watch the kids.

The amount of images I’m getting is incredible. I’m so backed up. I think it is like 2,200 or 2,400 images that I really love. I’m going to try to cut that down to 1,500 then there’s another 6,000 that are good, put them on file. Anyway, I’m excited.

Signing off.
